Merry Christmas

In the spirit of consistency (which I am totally into btw) . . . . . I will NOT be sending out Christmas cards this year. It would be a shame break my six year record of neglecting such a popular tradition.

Although I do LOVE getting Christmas cards, I just haven't been able to get myself excited about sending out my own. 1. For some reason I feel like my cards have to be handmade, and I just don't have the energy 2. Not only do we not have any NICE family pictures, but we don't have even ONE single SNAPSHOT of our family all together (which is quite ironic because my husband is a professional photographer and takes pictures of HUNDREDS of other families each year).

Who needs a family picture anyway (totally overrated) when you have a Wacom tablet to DRAW a perfectly good one?

Apparently the artist thought that the Fairchild ladies needed to be toplesss this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
from Boy Head, Girl Head, Loca, The Beadsa, and Toots

Maybe next year will be the year for me to be inconsistent. I might suprise you all with a REAL card, but until then .. . . . . don't count on it.

Ya, I'm not doing cards this year either. I just kept putting them off and now it's too late. I think I am just going to to something like an e-card.

I found cute cards, but I never took my girls out to do a good wintery photo. So, whatever. There's always next year.

Cards? Who needs cards? Every year I say that I am going to do it THIS year. And yet, it has never happened. Why ruin a good thing? I am saving the earth by not sending out a bunch of paper that people are going to throw away-right!?!
Cute picture of your fam though, are you sure Ava didn't draw that?
Oh, check my blog again. I must have been working on it when you posted that comment. I think I may have posted the LONGEST post EVER!(That is what I get for not posting for almost 2 months!)
Let me know when you want to make bread. :)

Dude, we have sent XMas cards out every year, but if I had a Wacom tablet, I would probably be consistent too. I had one on the Blackberry version of my Christmas list, but I didn't transfer it onto my email version of my Christmas list, cuz the things are so dang expensive. That's alright, maybe I'll find a deal after Christmas!

And that picture is classic. I hope to see it hung up with a frame on your wall somewhere.

Love the picture! I didn't send any cards either this year, nor have I sent them any other year. I'm horrible with that kind of stuff.

I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!

Libbie, there just happens to be two kinds of people, those who send out Christmas cards, and those who don't. You and I? Well we just happen to be in the group of the "non-senders".
It's actually the best group to be in. We get to sit back and not do cards,(of course we do "think" about doing them. Which makes it almost as good as sending them.) The "card senders" do all the work, and since we non-senders happen to be so likeable they still tend to send us cards anyway. The senders don't mind not getting a card from us in return for two reasons. First they LIKE sending out cards and second, we are just their kooky friend (or family member) who never sends out cards, but that's okay, because they love us anyway. And, (please refer back to first reason) they DO love to send those cards and if they stopped sending them to all of us non-senders they would eventually end up with no one to send cards to.
That would be sad.
So you see, we are all a part of the most perfect welfare system ever devised. Everybody gets what they want and everyone is happy.
So keep it up Libbie, don't rock the Christmas card boat! You and I are essential parts of a perfect system.

I don't know why but my comments to you always turn into mini posts.
Sorry.

I didn't send any this year either. I just feel pressure to include a photo--but who wants a picture of just me? The sad part is that I bought cards on clearance last year. In fact they are still sitting on my kitchen counter.....maybe next year. I did indeed hang the lovely ornaments. I posted a picture on my blog for you to see. Did you make them? Just a hunch...I know that someone VERY creative made them, and YOU my friend are indeed creative. :)

Wait, I go topless every Christmas, I totally thought everyone did :)

I love the family photo and appreciate that each and every person is flawlessly skinny in the drawing. I have neglected Christmas cards every year since the twins were born, maybe next year I'll be back with it (i doubt it).

Hope your Christmas is very merry & bright!

Shouldn't all Christmas cards be topless Christmas cards???

It reminds me of one of my FAVE SNL moments ever- the Topless Martha Stewart with the childrens choir. Please tell me you saw that one.

I love your card. I bet I could draw myself prettier than I really am so, that's an idea for next year...

Thanks! It was really fun seeing you again too. Dane loves the practical gifts and I am soo not a practical gift kind of girl. I love that Edyn put "closed" on your front door! That is great. Glad you had a wonderfully "spoiled" Christmas. :) I'm sure you all deserved it!
